Common Ties Presents Their Most Prestigious Award….
Common Ties Mental Health Services is a non profit community mental health center serving adults who are managing co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse in Androscoggin County. Common Ties was started in 1985 through the dream and advocacy of Kelsey Orestis who currently lives in Bath, Me. She is the vision behind the foundation of our organization and is a major influence in our guiding principles. Each year we present the Kelsey Orestis Award for Quality and Excellence, our most prestigious award.
The 2013 Kelsey Orestis Award for Quality and Excellence was presented to Patricia Salvatore, Employment Specialist from Maine Medical Center on June 27, 2013 by Ray Benjamin, Executive Director of Common Ties Mental Health Services. Pat was recognized by Common Ties for her tireless efforts to bridge the gap between businesses and consumers through her vision, passion, initiative, and perseverance. Her energy is evident. Her confidence in others is contagious. Her personalized, strength based approach has helped so many to see their individual potential and to believe in the possibility of employment which has resulted in quality work relationships, and proud reports of performance excellence. She has proven to businesses and consumers that employment is a great benefit to our overall health, wellness, and quality of life. The employment support services are made possible as a result of a grant received by Maine Medical Center and their collaboration with Common Ties and Tri County Mental Health Services for the past five years.
